Southwest School of Botanical Medicine is now a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission to specifically support and ensure the legacy of Michael RS Moore, and to ensure the vast storehouse of information that he cataloged is available to the public.

His unique knowledge, gained from a lifetime of studying medicinal plants, culminated in the creation of an in-depth website, which our organization seeks to preserve, maintain and continue to make freely available to all.
Mission of 501C3
Preserve the website of the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine created by founder Michael Roland Shaw Moore. Upgrade and maintain the website, protecting and preserving his legacy as one of the guiding lights of modern Western Herbalism. Continue to inspire and serve the global community in the form of freely available information.

Michael Moore is known as the “godfather of modern American herbalism”. His teachings and work have influenced 1000s of people around the world and his books continue to inspire.
